Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) recently led a discussion with Oregon public health officials who are calling for ending the de facto ban on federal research into the causes of gun violence. At the meeting, Robert Yuille voiced GOFRO's support for removal of the Congressional language that effectively blocks federal funding for research into what is clearly a public health issue.
